Sophie Huang, Intern Analyst

Sophie Huang joined BJH Advisors as an Intern Analyst from the Master in Urban Planning program at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. As part of her graduate degree, she is pursuing a concentration in Urban Analytics and is particularly interested in how data-driven methods can help support resilient solutions. She has studied the use of land value-capture tools to support climate change initiatives, public-private development, and public subsidies for affordable housing.

 Prior to BJH, Sophie worked as a Senior Analyst for the Housing Finance Policy team at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), Canada’s federal crown corporation responsible for housing in Canada. She provided research and analysis on market trends in the housing financialization space to augment federal housing policies.

 Sophie graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Management. She has extensive experience with ArcGIS, R, Adobe Creative Suite, and the Microsoft Suite.
