Jojo Attal, Intern Analyst
Jojo Attal is an Intern at BJH Advisors and holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Urban Studies from Yale University. Jojo’s coursework included explorations into design research, transit-oriented development, educational reform, and food systems infrastructure.
After graduation, Jojo pursued a career in agriculture and deepened their understanding of urban/rural interdependence and interest in equitable food systems. As a stakeholder in the Hudson Valley agricultural economy, Jojo participated in educating farmers about the affordable housing crisis and organizing for the political support of workforce housing. They are also an active member of the Cultivemos Queer Farmer Cohort, which brings LGBTQ+ farmers in the Northeast together to create opportunities for community building and resource sharing.
While interning with WXY + Architecture + Urban Design Jojo collaborated on a report to address segregation in New York City’s public schools and review the effects of desegregation on schools’ ability to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout their work they prioritize compelling and factually based narratives which advance equitable educational and economic opportunities for all urban and rural residents.
Prior to joining BJH Advisors, Jojo worked as a livestock farmer raising poultry, cattle, sheep and pigs, and has experience in both large and small ruminant dairy farming and production.
