Edward Lamson presents at the 2023 American Planning Association National Conference in Philadelphia
On April 3, 2023, Edward Lamson organized and participated a panel on The Future of Work and Inclusive Design at 2023 American Planning Association National Planning Conference in Philadelphia. Co-panelists discussed their experiences with cultural humility, inclusive engagement, and diverse planning approaches to address ongoing and future population and labor trends. Edward’s presentation focused on BJH’s recent involvement in the NYS Downtown Revitalization Initiative in Amityville. His presentation entitled “Amityville: Beyond Folklore and Toward Revitalization” focused on inclusive design considerations and lessons learned when communities balance local branding efforts with equitable visioning, revitalization, and project implementation.
