Gideon Kobea, Intern Analyst

Gideon Kobea is an Intern Analyst, a computer science and economics student with a multidisciplinary background spanning accounting, mathematics, finance, and software engineering. His academic journey began in Ghana, where he specialized in accounting for three years, building a strong foundation in financial analysis, quantitative reasoning, and business fundamentals. He

later continued his undergraduate studies at Wingate University, where he pursued Mathematics and Finance before transferring to Hamilton College to study Computer Science and Economics.

At Hamilton, Gideon focuses on applying computational thinking and data-driven methods to solve complex, real-world problems at the intersection of technology, economics, and systems design. His coursework and projects emphasize programming languages, data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, and software design, alongside economic analysis and modeling. 

Professionally, Gideon has experience working across frontend and backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and full-stack application development. He has contributed to scalable, production-ready software through internships and project-based work, including building data-intensive web platforms, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications using modern technologies. His work reflects a strong interest in designing efficient, accessible systems that improve how users interact with data and services. 

Gideon is proficient in Python, C++, JavaScript, Swift, Go, SQL, and Ruby, with experience in cloud platforms, databases, and modern development frameworks. His academic and professional interests center on software engineering, data-driven decision-making, and the application of technology to economic and societal challenges.
