Elene Jikia, Senior Analyst

Elene Jikia is a Senior Analyst with a diverse background in real estate, architecture, urban development analysis, and data management. In her recent projects at BJH, she served Mayor Adam’s Housing Task Force as project manager, developing strategies and financial feasibility studies to address the housing crisis in New York City. She also consulted with the NYS Department of State on the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) in Long Island and Southern Tier, as well as on New York Forward (NYF) in the Capital Region. Elene also collaborated with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, where she crafted a benefit-cost analysis for sustainable development and flood mitigation projects in New York City. Additionally, she worked on industrial market research on behalf of a City agency for a large infrastructure development initiative.

Prior to joining BJH Advisors, she worked on projects of varying scales in Europe and the US and focused on applying data-driven research methodologies to solving complex urban planning challenges.

Most recently she managed an affordable housing start-up developing a novel construction technology for vacant infill lots in New York City. In this role, she led the business development and community engagement initiatives. 

Elene received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Stuttgart in Germany and studied Architecture at the National University of Singapore. She received her graduate degree in M.S. Data Visualization and attended the Design and Urban Ecologies program at Parsons School for Design in New York.

Elene has extensive experience with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, GIS, Python, JavaScript and RStudio. She is a native Georgian speaker and is highly proficient in German language.
